How is it that the fourth quarter of this year has arrived and yet March was 25 years ago.
This year has been an incredible and wild ride of changes, pressures, challenges mixed with extended period of quiet and solitude. As a chapter president my goal has always been to do what is right for our members and for our Board. For the better part of the year that has meant a postponement of member facing meetings as we all adjusted to a new set of business norms.
Now that the fourth quarter has arrived and we have established new, comfortable business norms we have resumed our monthly meetings. In September we hosted Wayne Goodwin, a Commissioner candidate for the Department of Insurance. This was a unique opportunity for our members to ask Mr. Goodwin questions about his candidacy and his plan for the DOI should he prevail in the November election. He fielded many questions that ran the gamut of important issues for our community including 1332 Waivers, Medicare expansion, Association Health Plans and what his administration would look like should he be re-elected.
We have a great program lineup for October and November. We will not be hosting an event in December and will resume in January. I encourage you to attend all of our upcoming meetings. There will be much to share right after the election.
Wishing you and your business a successful fourth quarter.
