The Triad’s Holiday Party held at the Starmount Forest Country Club on December 15th, was a great success. We started our evening with a blessing given by Pastor Tony Van Cura from Christ Lutheran Church in Greensboro.
Our charity for our Holiday Party was to collect clothes, toys, and gift cards for the Greensboro PD and High Point PD’s holiday give away to needy children in the Triad. We had representatives from each PD at the Holiday festivities and they talked to all attendees about their charitable work in the community. Gave us a whole new meaning to holiday giving. We also had Walt the Magician, who went from table to table and group to group with his magic feats.
The Triad gave a special tribute to Bud Grissom, our long time BCBSNC Medicare representative. Bud was unable to attend in person, but we had a zoom call to Bud, where everyone was able to tell him how much they appreciated him and his support of TAHU over the years. We had cards that everyone got to sign and that we sent Bud with a Holiday Gift Card from TAHU. We hope to see Bud at our future meetings.
Hard to believe that we had 74-degree weather on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day and snow a week later!
In 2022, we will be moving our monthly meeting to Kickback Jack’s at the New Garden location. We will have a separate meeting room, and we are inviting everyone to come join us on the third Tuesday of the month, starting in February.
Looking forward to a blessed and prosperous 2022 for everyone.
