No need to state the obvious - that life has changed drastically for all of us the past 6-7 months. One thing that remains constant is our need to grow, both personally and professionally. Those of us involved in the Medicare industry are faced with the famed annual AHIP training program, and re-certifications with each of the insurance companies. Although those trainings are more about fulfilling compliance mandates rather than actually teaching, we have no choice but to comply with those requirements or not be able to sell in 2021. That Whether it be through mandated training, or our kids (and grandkids) going back to school because it is required by law, many of us need to approach learning in a different way. Let's take a more positive attitude and learn because we want to , and not because we have no choice. Not only will we get more out of it, but it also removes some of the stress and pressure of it. Just as important, let's be sure to show others that our approach is positive. Whether it be our children, other family members, or people we work with, our example could be contagious and help others look forward to learning and therefore get more out of it. Remember too, that not all learning has to come from a book or formal instruction. One of the common traits of successful people are those who take a few minutes to reflect at the end of the day, or the end of the week, and ask themselves..."what could I have done better today?" Or..."how could I handle this situation better the next time?" Again, we need to be the example that others should follow! Happy learning!
