I recently googled “what does it mean when someone says “Patience is not one of my virtues”? And google said it’s “The ability to wait for something without frustration.” Well, I can honestly say, Patience is definitely NOT one of my virtues!!
This month’s newsletter is getting out really late – I apologize for that. I had a lot of family issues going on that had me flying from Greensboro to Florida and then out to California to take care of parents. The flights were some of the worst I have endured – not the actual flying – but the issues that occurred just to get on the plane!!!
The flight from Florida to California had the layover in Charlotte. I was to fly out of Charlotte on a Thursday at 6:40PM to California – I ended up leaving at 8AM the next morning!! And that was after sitting on the plane Thursday night for just under 3 hours!! My patience was gone!!! Thankfully the flight home from California was fine – no delays!
A group of us recently got back from Washington, DC attending the NABIP Capital Conference. On a side note – if you see Greg Stancil – thank him for a job well done! He was in charge of this year’s conference! He made NC look really really good!!!
At the conference, there were a number of speakers who talked to us about some of the issues they knew we were facing. They all praised us for what we do, the help we provide the consumer and the knowledge we provide the legislators on key issues. But, it doesn’t all happen overnight! It takes perseverance and it takes patience!! We need to keep putting out our message. When you see Operation Shouts come through from NABIP – send those to your representatives. We need them to know that we are their number one resource for what’s happening in this industry. It’s not always easy, but in the long run, it is worth it!! It just takes Patience!!!
