The NAHU Convention is being held at the end of this month. While not everyone is going “In-person”, the majority of the attendees will be. I, for one, am so looking forward to “seeing” friends and colleagues from around the country NOT on a screen!!!
While we are there, a major vote will be taking place in the House of Delegates. By now you should have seen emails from NAHU letting you know that a task force was established to look at our branding. In other words, does the National Association of Health Underwriters really depict who we are? After months of research and surveying members, the members in attendance at the Convention will be asked to vote on a new name: The National Association of Benefit and Insurance Professionals. It has been determined that this better represents who we are. All voting delegates (in-person and those streaming on line) will have the opportunity to accept or reject this new name. If you have any comments about this, I would love to hear them before the vote happens on Tuesday June 28. Send me an email at Cmatznick@triunetechnologies.com
There is one other major piece of business that will take place at the convention. Our own David Smith will be sworn in as NAHU Secretary! This means that he will be the National President in 2026-2027. We are fortunate that NC has produced a number of NAHU Presidents over the years. It is very exciting to be adding another name to that distinguished list!!
