Association leaders from around North Carolina assembled online for the 2020-21 NCAHU leadership training and to introduce the new 2020-21 NCAHU board of directors. 2020-21 NCAHU President, Dan Ordorizzi emphasized membership growth and member engagement as key areas of focus in this chapter year.
The agenda began with a briefing from NAHU Executive Vice President and CEO Janet Trautwein. Janet reviewed NAHU's initiatives to increase membership through increased member engagement, added features, and new programs. Janet also shared her perspective on the possible impact of the upcoming elections on healthcare legislation in 2021 including single-payer initiatives.
The meeting continued with updates on awards, legislation, working with the media, technology, member engagement, plus updates from local chapters and committee chairs. The 2021 Board of Directors and Committee Chairs include:
