    January Federal L&L Update

    in Federal L&L Updates

§ Just before the Christmas holiday, Congress passed a $1.4 trillion omnibus bill that included provisions on COVID-19 relief, a ban on surprise billing, disclosure of broker compensation, the ability for employees to roll over funds from Flexible Spending Accounts and more.

§ A U.S. District Court in Maryland issued a temporary nationwide injunction against the Trump Administration’s Most Favored Nation rule, which would tie the prices of Medicare Part B drugs to those paid by other countries.

§ NAHU submitted two comment letters to the Trump Administration over the holidays: one regarding the proposed 2022 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters, and one that responds to proposed reform to the overall regulatory process.

§ It is time once again to register for NAHU’s annual Capitol Conference! Due to the pandemic, Capitol Conference will be held virtually February 22-24. This will be one of the most important ever, so please register early and be ready for an experience you won’t forget.
