Today’s business environment has dramatically changed the way we do business. Most business meetings are done virtually rather than face-to-face. So, it is critically important to choose the right meeting application to fit your business needs. Two of the most popular are Zoom and RingCentral. Both are feature-rich and easy to use, especially for those tech-challenged clients. As NCAHU Technology Chair the priority for me is the ease of use and security. Both have resolved their security issues and are HIPAA compliant. Virtual meetings should be easy to join without requiring extensive password but at the same time maintain a minimum level of security. Both RingCentral and Zoom meet these requirements. For me, virtual backgrounds are important for business, especially when working from home. Zoom slightly edges out RingCentral in this feature. So my recommendation is Zoom.
