This is your opportunity as an insurance professional to offer your expertise to your state legislators to develop sensible insurance-related legislation to benefit and protect all North Carolinians. Become a valuable resource to your state representative and state senator in the North Carolina General Assembly.
Our 2009 North Carolina State Day on the Hill will be Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in Raleigh. The meeting begins on Tuesday with registration at 1:00 PM and adjourns following the meeting with your Senator and Representative on Wednesday. The meeting on Tuesday will be at the Holiday Inn Brownstone Hotel, 1707 Hillsborough Street. There will be a Wednesday morning breakfast for the legislators so you can schedule your meetings immediately following.
We are pleased to be hosting this with the North Carolina Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors again this year for this event.
Attached is a registration form. NCAHU will pay the cost of the room based on double occupancy. If you prefer a single room, you need to send a check for $50 along with your registration. In order to reserve a room, the registration deadline is Friday, February 20th.
Any attendees registering after February 20th will be responsible for their own room reservation.

Schedule an appointment with your legislator to see them on Wednesday morning. All attendees and every member of the General Assembly are invited to a breakfast at the General Assembly that morning. Following the breakfast, you can stop by the Insurance State Day on the Hill desk located in the General Assembly building to pick up note cubes to take as a small gift of appreciation to your legislators when you visit them. (We will be providing "taking points" during the briefings on Wednesday to help you with the visit.)
As soon as you have an appointment with them, please drop us an email to let us know. This is one time when you want to get together with other agents in your town since you all have the same elected officials.
