Insurance professionals from around North Carolina will meet in Raleigh NC May 20th and 21st to discuss insurance relate legislation with state legislators. "It's critical that we stay in touch with our state legislators concerning important insurance legislation." says Johnny Dawkins, President of the North Carolina Association of Health Underwriters (NCAHU). Last year NCAHU supported the passage of the North Carolina high-risk pool which will help provide health insurance to hundreds of North Carolinians with serious health issues who are currently uninsurable or can't afford prohibitively high insurance rates. |

NCAHU Supports NC High-Risk Pool |

The North Carolina Association of Health Underwriters (NCAHU), an organization of health insurance agents, brokers, consultants and benefit specialists, congratulates the NC legislature and Governor Mike Easley for passaging the North Carolina High-Risk Pool. The high-risk pool could help as many as 14,000 people in North Carolina within 10 years.
